Multifilament Strings
Multifilament strings, known commonly as “multis” are strings that are made of hundreds or even thousands of filaments. Usually made of nylon they can also incorporate other materials such as polyurethane, polyolefin, Zyex, Vectran, Kevlar, and other materials. Multi-filament strings are softer and more comfortable than “synthetic gut”, co-poly and polyester strings but usually inferior in durability. No multi-filament string holds its tension as well as natural gut, and none of them is as soft or as powerful. However, some manufacturers have gotten quite close to either the soft feeling or power of natural gut.

If you can manufacture ANY property into a string, why not infuse such popular poly properties into a multifilament? So this company put poly fibers into their multifilament to create a really interesting string. It’s soft like a multifilament but has similar stretch and low power properties of a poly. I personally think it’s brilliant.
Not soft and mushy like some multifilaments. This one is crisp and powerful. Like how some of us wish natural gut was.
