The New Two era has begun!
Alcaraz and Sinner have already brought us modern classics that will go down in history as some of the best matches EVER played.
But what strings do they use?? Alcaraz uses Babolat RPM Blast polyester strings famously known for ARM blasting every recreational player who uses it. I don’t konw what Sinner uses but it’s a black polyester. Some say it’s Head Hawk Touch but I personally don’t think so based on the way it sounds when he hits the ball. Then again there aren’t many people on this planet who can hit the ball like Sinner does…
This hybrid utilizes a thick “softer” polyester in the mains that has amazing string life to it. Head Sonic Pro 16g is one of my favorite earlier generation polyesters. It doesn’t have a “dead” feeling or plays like plastic. And because we all can’t hit the sweet spot 99% of the time, I’ve put a Black PEEK in the crosses to really cushion your arm and stave off that tennis elbow. But the slickness of the Black PEEK works extremely well with Head Sonic Pro in the mains so you can still get tons of spin off the ball.
